A slide is one of a kind.
A slide is like a time machine. The piece of film is a moment in time.
It has captured the exact moment the photons entered the camera and bombed the celluloid.
It is the immortalisation of reality in a unique moment in time.
We can physically hold that in our hands.
Can you think of anything more unique?
Therefore slides.
An Era
The era of making slides is over. The slides are forgotten, full of dust in the attic.
Now is the time, more than ever, to get them out again. Because now the stories can still be told.
SlideShowDays’ mission is to make that possible.
To collect the stories of photographers and people figuring in the slides. To show and tell the stories of the slideshow days
